I finally tried out escape room!!! But from this experience, I realized what a terrible friend I am! 😂 We booked a horror themed room by mistake and it was already too late to change our reservation. My friend, Kevin, and I ended up being the prisoners. Now! The room we were in was dark and trust me, anyone would scream and jump around! Thank you @kevin_withyoo for tolerating my loud ass screams and I'm sorry if I punched/slapped you 🙏 Although we had our funny moments like me using a toothbrush as protection to stab anyone popping out and scaring me. Or Kevin randomly being fascinated with the fact that one of the profile said "based in Seocho", which had nothing to do with the mission. Also, Will running out with Kevin to the fire escape, with me, Shabz and Mike yelling at them that that's the fire escape and that we have to open the other door with the key that Kevin was holding 😂😂 I am proud that we made it out with 27 seconds left! CAUTION: LONG POST! (Part 2) I injured my shoulders from flag football and kept putting cold patches on for fast recovery. I basically stank up the studio. Apologies for that 😔 But one day, I started coughing like crazy. I caught a cold from my students but I didn't think it was a big deal. I normally try to sweat the cold off in the gym for fast recovery. So I did just that. However, my body just went weaker and weaker. I ended up going to the hospital so that I can play flag football. I got myself checked out, got my meds, and went to play flag football - drugged up with meds and managed to play two sacks that day. Yay me! But I just started shaking like crazy one day. My head was pounding and my jaw started hurting this time. This was not normal and my cold wasn't getting any better. I got myself checked out again and I was told that I have a really bad throat infection. I was speechless! My voice is my life! By this point, I was impatient, angry, annoyed, sad.... If I had experienced all this separately - and not one right after another - I think I would've been fine. But it was because I wasn't getting any better... I felt like giving up. I felt useless and extremely tired of fighting. To cheer me up, my boyfriend and I decided to do something spontaneous. We booked a flight to Phuket. It was our first time going there so we were excited but also scared. However, we were getting a lot of support from our friends and people were making sure that I was healthy and safe while we were there. That's when I realized how truly blessed I am. This trip really allowed me to do some self reflection. I think I was too focused on so many unimportant things that I didn't realize the good things! I feel guilty for allowing myself to be negative from time to time. I was over-working! I was also making sure other people were doing ok and not allowing myself to just... breathe! I realized the importance of self-care and how much I need that in order to stay positive and be st

CAUTION: LONG POST! (PART 1) So two months ago, I experienced something not many would experience easily. It was something unfamiliar and also very scary. I was in America (New Jersey) and a bit stressed out. Due to stress, I ended up getting rashes all over my cheeks and then a bad fever. My head was pounding like crazy and at first I thought it was anemia attack. I am diagnosed with iron deficiency and I take my pills everyday to maintain a healthy red blood cell count. However, I realized that it was something else and more serious as I couldn't move one side of my body. But when I realized this, I was already scheduled to fly back to Korea. I had to take my flight and I could not postpone it as I had work the minute I got back. My boyfriend took good care of me throughout the 13 hour flight and made sure that I had ice pack all over me to cool my body temperature. I got back safe and sound and was able to go do radio and teach. Working 2-3 jobs is really tough but it is what it is! Anyway! I found out that I had experienced an acute stroke. After resting for a day, or two, I went back to my daily routine. I went to the gym everyday, as usual. I also went to work but I was more keen on training as I had flag football every Saturday - let's go Turtles! :) I'm a little competitive when it comes to sports and a little more aggressive when it comes to self-improvement. I guess I went too hard that I ignored and forgot the fact that I had experienced an acute stroke. My immune system just went down. But stupid me! I kept fighting it and continued to train hard and play flag football. Ok! So you were all probably wondering why I kept posting pictures from my very first day on Music Access on my IG story. I'm normally very bad at saying bye and saying that today on air was really difficult! I was trying so hard not to cry the whole time but epic fail! Then when I exploded, I tried not to cry more so I lost my words and kept it short but I'm just going to say a few things here.... I was 24 when I joined Music Access and I didn't know what to expect. I was really nervous when I first met our producer, script writer, Crazyno, Aron and our listeners - yous! But after some time we became a family - MA family! People left and came back, then left again but regardless we stick together and support everyone involved in the show no matter where they are. It was an honour to be a part of something so special. Then, when I thought pizza at home was good, New York really changed my world! I normally don't eat the bread part but this! ZOMG! That crusty part is unforgettable! Food generally was amazing everywhere I went and I already miss it all - that steak, mutton chops, burger, fries/chips, the extra extra large drinks, etc. Also, last but not least, having the opportunity to see how things changed after a terrible attack reminded me how love is important. And for us to express that love, whether it is to a lover, a family, or a friend. It is easy to forget how blessed we are. - To be able to walk, talk, eat.. The list goes on but seeing those names really had me thinking about a lot of things. Time is important so it's important that that time is spent wisely. I am truly blessed to have spent that time with you and I am looking forward to many many more trips. I haven't posted anything during my trip to America because I wanted to collect my thoughts and write my heart out here about my experience. See, I haven't really taken a trip this far and for this long in 5 years. The term 'vacation' was a little awkward for me, and I guess it still is because I hate not being at work for so long. Imagining the workload I have to face after I come back is a nightmare. I don't think I need to explain anymore about this feeling because I'm probably not the only one lol! Anyway! My first stop really reminded me of my days in university. This was because of the amount of love the people show their team. I never really knew this type of sport until someone special introduced me to this type of sport. I am quite slow and daft so it takes a lot of time for me to fully understand something but also because I'm familiar with football, or soccer, I just refuse to acknowledge any other type of sport lol but! "If you love this sport and support this team, then you're a friend and a family." This is basically what I felt when I was in New Jersey. A day out with Bentley! I was a little skeptical about purchasing this dog carrier as I normally buy my dog's stuff in the actual store, and not online. But I must say!
